Virus.Org Services
The Virus.Org Malware Scanning Service, is currently operational. The service can be found at http://scanner.virus.org/. We shall continue to add scanners as they become available to us to the service and will continually look to enhance the service over time.
Virus.Org has operated a closed private Jabber (XMPP) service for some time, we have opened this service up and it is possible to create a free Jabber IM account here. You connect with any Jabber capable IM client such as iChat, Adium, Trillian, Psi and Pidgin. We also have a Flash Based IM client available here. Our service is configured to allow access to MSN, Yahoo, ICQ and AIM via Transports and can communicate with other Jabber services such as those provided by Jabber.Org and Google Talk.

Well it seems this week is general patch week, we've had Microsoft and now Mozilla have released a series of updates for Firefox and the other Mozilla applications. |

Well it only seems like a couple of weeks since the last patch from Microsoft (well it kinda was really), doesn't time fly when your having fun. Here we have the November Patch round up, we have just two patches this month, one rated Critical by Microsoft and the other rated Important. |

For a while now the Virus.Org site has been enabled for IPv6 while we did some research into the future transport protocol for Internet traffic. The server was visible on 'http://ipv6.virus.org', however we have recently updated the DNS for the site to add the IPv6 address to the 'www.virus.org' alias. So if you happen to have IPv6 then you should in preference visit the IPv6 enabled Virus.Org site due to the power of the 'AAAA' record. |
